Lorenzo is six years old this year and has ROP ( retinopathy of prematurity) totally blind. He was born 17 weeks early. Hes a little fighter.
Thats why he deserves all the help he can get. He has grade 2 brain damage which slows his development. He a very loveable little boy who wants lots of cuddles, loves music and has an ear for bass and drums. He will listen to any music from Van Morrison to Bob Dylan, Bob Marley to Nursery Rhymes.
(We have done a lot of research and through very good contacts got hold of the top Doctor, Dr An ( Chinese name) in china who has performed many successful stem cell treatments. Lorenzo has ROP ( retinopathy of prematurity) stage 5 which means he is totally blind with grade 2 brain damage. We have been informed that he has 70% chance of improvementnt which can be anything from light perception which will help him get around objects and finding doorways and windows easier. and help his development skills. and hopefully more!) I am sorry it has taken us so long to get in touch with everyone, but I am afraid we have had very disappointing news.
Through very lengthily in depth studies of Lorenzo medical documents, Dr An in China has decided that Lorenzo eyes have been damaged so badly with the R.O.P. The retina has deformed the eye ball so much that he feels the Stem Cell treatment would not give satisfactory results, if at all, and it would not be worth putting us and of course Lorenzo through the discomfort and disappointment. .......For more details
